The Long Beach Marriott is close to the runways at Long Beach Airport, but it felt like I was far, far away. This hotel is more like a resort than just a place to sleep while waiting for a flight.
I spent several days here and loved it. The hotel itself is beautiful and service was exceptional during my stay.
The pool and gardens are beautiful. You can relax on a lounge in the sun or take a seat in the shade.
My king guest room was on the 7th floor Concierge level. The bed was really comfortable and it had the comforts of home – speedy internet, TV and movies, desk, mini fridge, coffee and tea maker, ironing board, safe, blow dryer and Thann bath and body products. Housekeeping kept the room clean and well stocked.
My room had a clear view of the runway. I enjoyed watching planes take off and land, but didn’t hear them! Rooms on the other side of the hallway have a golf course view.
The fitness center and indoor pool are open 24 hours. Towels are provided and there are changing rooms. I had the pool to myself when I went early in the morning to swim laps.
There are comfortable seating areas throughout the hotel. There is a coffee bar in the main lobby and the hotel has two restaurants – Terrace Grille & Patio and Tamarindo’s Margarita Bar & Cantina.
There is plenty of free parking at the hotel and they offer a complementary shuttle to and from the Long Beach airport.
I enjoyed my stay at the Long Beach Marriott.
