Gorillaz Mountain Tour Los Angeles

When it comes to iconic Los Angeles music venues, the historic Kia Forum in Inglewood knows how to throw a massive party.
I recently attended the Gorillaz performance on “The Mountain Tour,” and it was an absolute blast from start to finish!
A large-scale arena setting turned out to be the ultimate space for an immersive event like this, blending live music with spectacular visuals.

🚗 Off-Site Parking & A Celeb Sightings Walk
If you have ever attended a show at the Forum or nearby SoFi Stadium, you know that arena parking can sometimes be a hassle.
We opted to reserve parking ahead of time in a small off-site lot located several blocks away from the stadium.
The walk over was super easy, totally manageable, and filled with fellow fans making their way toward the arena.
Because this is Los Angeles, you never know who you might spot!
While waiting for a pedestrian signal to cross the street, we realized that streamers Hasan Piker and Will Neff were walking right alongside us to the venue (and later posted backstage photos with the band on social media!).
Getting out of our lot after the show was remarkably fast and smooth.

🎟️ Section 233 Seat Review: High Up, But Great Views!
Our tickets were up in Section 233 – way up high and positioned slightly left of center.
I was just happy to be in the building, but I was pleasantly surprised by how fantastic these seats actually were!
The layout of the Forum gave me a clear line of sight down to the main stage without obstructions.
Paired with the venue’s massive high-definition video screens, it never felt too far away, and I could easily see everything happening across the stage performance and on the screens.

🎤 Opening Acts: Deltron 3030 & Little Simz
The night kicked off with a fun lineup of opening acts that set the positive energy early:
- Deltron 3030: The first opener brought a fantastic, nostalgic energy as I remember their music from Tony Hawk video games back in the day.
- Little Simz: Featuring a longer secondary set, Little Simz delivered a masterclass in stage presence. Backed by highly skilled musicians, her performance was sharp, energetic, and engaging.

🎨 The Gorillaz Multimedia Experience
When Gorillaz took the stage, it quickly became clear that this isn’t just a standard concert, but is a full-blown multimedia experience!
Vibrant animation, synchronized lighting, and dynamic visual art brought every single song to life.
The setlist offered a great mix of classic hits and deep album tracks.
One of the biggest highlights was the surprise special guest appearances, including Kali Uchis taking the stage to perform “She’s My Collar.”
Frontman Damon Albarn also wore a keffiyeh during “Stylo,” drawing huge support and cheers from the crowd.
Damon was wonderfully interactive with the audience, stepping down off the stage and venturing into the crowd numerous times throughout the night – greeting fans both on the general admission floor and along the lower/upper level aisles closest to the stage.
They saved two of their biggest signature hits for the very end of the night, closing out the encore with electrifying performances of “Feel Good Inc.” and “Clint Eastwood.”
It was the ultimate way to wrap up a fun, high-energy night in LA!
