Morrogo Casino Oasis Pool Concert Review

When searching online for event details before attending a concert at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon, information can sometimes be hard to come by.
Having recently attended “An Evening with OneRepublic” at their outdoor pool venue (Oasis Pool), I wanted to share a complete guide so fellow music lovers know exactly what to expect when attending future shows here!
Although it is a bit longer drive for me than typical Los Angeles or Orange County concert halls, taking the trip out to the desert for an outdoor performance was completely worth it.
It made for a smooth, relaxing, and memorable evening getaway.

🎭 Indoor Theater vs. Outdoor Oasis Pool Venue
Most large headliner events at Morongo are hosted indoors in their main theater with reserved, assigned seating.
However, select special shows—like “An Evening with OneRepublic”—take place outdoors at the Oasis Pool area as general admission, standing-room events.
The Oasis Pool setting is gorgeous at night, surrounded by desert palms and soft resort lighting.
While giant stadium shows (like the sold-out OneRepublic Hollywood Bowl shows) have their own energy, an intimate pool deck venue offers a completely different, up-close vibe:
- Intimate Crowd Size: Because the venue capacity is capped, the space feels cozy rather than overwhelming.
- Fantastic Views: General admission means you can easily find a great view of the stage from almost anywhere in the pool area. Most guests stand near the stage, though a small amount of peripheral seating is available for those who want to sit down.
- Open Air & Bars: The outdoor bar is open for quick drink purchases, and the fresh desert air makes for a wonderful evening atmosphere.

🎵 Live Performance: OneRepublic
OneRepublic was absolutely incredible live!
The sound quality outdoors was crisp, clear, and perfectly balanced across the pool deck.
They performed a hit-packed setlist featuring fan favorites like “Secrets,” “Apologize,” “Counting Stars,” and “I Ain’t Worried” (from Top Gun: Maverick).
They also performed a selection of hits lead singer Ryan Tedder has written for other global artists, including Beyoncé’s iconic hit “Halo.”
Feeling that connected to a world-class band in a smaller venue was a total treat.

🚗 Free Parking & Venue Entry Tips
One of the best perks of attending a show at Morongo is how stress-free the arrival and departure process is compared to urban venues:
- Free Parking Options: Parking is 100% free across the resort. While there is a multi-level parking structure available, parking in the open outdoor lot closest to the pool entrance is extremely convenient for evening shows. (While the uncovered lot would be hot on a midsummer afternoon, it is ideal for cool evening arrivals!).
- Easy Entrance Queue: Once inside the main casino, head to the right toward the Oasis Pool entrance. Staff members set up a designated queue line near the doors.
- Doors & Staff: Doors opened roughly an hour before showtime. The venue staff was exceptionally friendly, the entry line moved fast, and the audience was polite and relaxed.
Getting in and out of the property after the show was fast and easy.
I would definitely return to Morongo Casino for another outdoor Oasis Pool concert in a heartbeat!
