Looking for a luxury experience in the desert? Parker Palm Springs is it! The resort hotel is conveniently located near all kinds of Palm Springs fun, but there is so much to choose from at the Parker that you just may not want to leave. I would have been perfectly content to spend hours and hours in one of their hammocks.
The property was built as a Holiday Inn in the 1950’s and was purchased by Gene Autry a few years later. It’s gone through many changes over the years and has been the Parker for over 10 years. Jonathan Adler was the designer for the renovation and his distinctive style is evident throughout the resort.
The Villas and exclusive Gene Autry Residence are lovely and luxurious, but the Lanai Patio rooms are just right for me. It’s great to have a private outdoor area to enjoy.
There are two outdoor pools and an indoor pool in the spa, the Palm Springs Yacht Club. There are plenty of lounge chairs and cabanas are available to rent.
The grounds are beautiful with landscaped paths leading to the different areas of the resort. Outdoor sports include tennis, ping pong, giant chess, croquet and Petanque (a French game similar to bocce ball).
Parker Palm Springs is a beautiful and luxurious resort where you can create your own kind of relaxing or active getaway.
