Many years ago when I was a child, I stayed at what is now V Palm Springs. At that time, it was a Travelodge. I didn’t recognize it at all when I pulled up out front this time. One section of the hotel has been renovated and is ready for guests. The rest of the rooms, a second pool and a restaurant and lounge will be completed and opened later this year.
The pool area is beautiful and the Elixir Bar & Grill is fantastic. I was there on a weekday when there weren’t many people outdoors at all, so it was peaceful and relaxing. I would imagine that on the weekends when the rest of the hotel is open, this will be a fun place to hang out with friends and meet new people. You can check their website for regular events including DJs, Sunset Hour and their V Social. There is a resort fee on top of the room rate.
The rooms have been updated and there are a variety of different types to choose from. I especially like the ones with private patios and hanging chairs. Bikes are available for guests to use for free and Thursday through Sunday the Buzz Trolley makes a stop right out front
