TECHmunch Food Photography
Influencer Event
As a professional blogger and influencer, I’m always looking for educational opportunities that will help my business. I attended a TECHmunch conference at Disneyland a few years ago and found it very beneficial. I signed up immediately, when I heard about the TECHmunch food photography event with Princess Cruises.
The event was part of their Pro Content Creator Series and attendees were selected from the hundreds who applied. The main focus of the workshop was food photography for Instagram and culinary storytelling, which is right up my alley.
Ashley Rodriguez taught the interactive workshop and Chef Curtis Stone created a 6 course fine dining experience for us to eat and photograph. Ashley knows her stuff and Chef was as nice in person as I expected after seeing him on TV.
The format of the event was both conducive to learning and fun. Between each course of the meal, Chef came out to describe the upcoming dish and then Ashley gave us practical tips for food photography and Instagram. Then we tried out what we learned, when the food came out. (See my Instagram photos HERE.)

The event was held on board the Ruby Princess, which is the largest cruise ship I have been on. The ship was beautiful and staff was great from the moment I arrived until I disembarked.
Both of the TECHmunch events I’ve attended have been excellent. They are planned well, so that they will be beneficial for the attendees and sponsors. Just like after the Disneyland event, I had a great time and came home with practical, actionable knowledge.
